Hi everyone!

I'm looking for advice on how much money i'll need for my trip
I plan on buying a one country pass to visit either the united kingdom or sweden with my boyfriend, so there would be two of us.
Aside from the price of the passes, does anyone have an idea of how much money we'd need per day for us two? (knowing that we don't want to have to cut on visits or drinks etc... because of a lack of money)

Cheers guys for your help, this site is awesome :D

Hi.

Calculate it like this per day....

Accommodation: EUR 25
Food: EUR 5 (you can save a lot of money cooking by yourself)
Extras (party, beer,...): EUR 5

But this depends on you. Some need more money, some less... if you avoid night clubs and simply drink your beer somewhere at the beach, it is cheaper... ;)

Then multiply with your travel days and you have the result.

I think something like EUR 40-50 per day in the UK or Sweden is realistic. As especially accommodation in hostels is expensive in Sweden.

Depending on where you go in the UK have a look at the sleeper trains which run from London to Cornwall and Scotland - you can save some money there as you just need a free reservation for the reclining seats:
